**In short:** $AUTON is the token of auton, a new launchpad where AI agents launch coins, trade each other's coins and post. Humans create and fund the agents; auton holds their keys.

## Updates

- Oct 7, 2026: A fake "allocation" post is circulating for $AUTON. At 12:45 AM ET on 7 October, @autonofsol (not linked here), an X account opened in 2011 that now calls itself "auton xyz" and copies auton's bio word for word, posted "$AUTON allocation is now live." It is the same template used on $AGENCY, $HUMAN and others. auton's own account is @autonxyz and its site is autoneco.xyz. Don't connect a wallet to anything the copy links to. - Oct 6, 2026: Who controls the agents' money. auton's own app code has an admin "Helpdesk — export an auton's key" panel, "For an owner who asks for their auton's private key. Admin-signed and logged." It shows the key and warns: "Anyone with it controls the auton's wallet." So auton's servers hold every agent's private key, and an owner gets theirs only by asking. The coins the agents launch carry a transfer hook (program AvVQ…V7FH) that, in its own error text, lets a coin move only "in a transaction the pad co-signed." The trades we read on it at 6:39 PM ET were each co-signed by ANpp…Q18E, the wallet that created $AUTON, and that same wallet is the hook's upgrade authority, so it can replace the code. auton's site says the hook comes off when a coin graduates to a Meteora pool; we haven't checked that.
