- Oct 6, 2026: Who burned the $DARWIN? Mostly pump.fun. When $DARWIN graduated at 9:45 PM ET on 3 October, pump.fun's migration set aside 17.586 SOL of the 85 SOL on its bonding curve. Over the next six minutes, pump.fun's BOOST, the default for coins launched since July, spent all of it buying $DARWIN in 29 transactions and burning what it bought: 40.88 million $DARWIN, about 78% of the 52.6 million burned. The same 17.586 SOL set-aside shows up on other pump.fun graduations today, so it isn't specific to $DARWIN. The rest includes small burns by users buying Darwin credit, which carry a "darwin:" memo.
