**Early file:** still being checked; what's here is verified. Last checked Oct 5, 2026.

**In short:** $HOOKED is the token of Hooked, a launchpad for Solana tokens with transfer hooks. Its new AI agent, Hooki, is said to rewrite a token's hook on its own.

Deployer: `Dpmutmc4ZLqvJwHbwabvKYeFJ9zkQ86nutUAUviRrXG2`: Created $HOOKED, per Jupiter. ([Jupiter token data](https://jup.ag/tokens/C1mBfBoDkwWfd6uTFZp62ARHLjeVp3bDpCDMfMZtPngE))

## Updates

- Oct 5, 2026: Hooki's first day on $HOOKI: Hooked's public log shows it changed the token's trading rules five times between 4:00 and 9:05 PM ET on 5 October, mostly limits on selling, and burned 853,898 $HOOKI at 9:05 PM ET, which we confirmed on-chain. $HOOKI fell about 73% between 7:54 and 8:37 PM ET, after the 7:03 PM change that left a single sell-size rule. ([Our chatter c57, with the log and the burn](https://trenchbook.app/chatter#c57))
- Oct 5, 2026: We checked four tokens launched on Hooked ($HOOKI, $HAMSTER, $FOMO and $HI). Each is a Token-2022 coin whose transfer hook can refuse any transfer. On all four, the hook's authority is the same program-controlled address, and the three hook programs behind them share one upgrade key, wallet 8D71…wFGz, which can replace the code. Hooked's docs disclose this: "The hook programs can still be upgraded by Hooked's deploy wallet." So Hooki's promise that nobody else can change its rules covers the rules, not the code under them. ## Key facts

- **Launched:** 28 Sep 2026, 4:03 PM ET, on Meteora's launch pools ([Jupiter token data](https://jup.ag/tokens/C1mBfBoDkwWfd6uTFZp62ARHLjeVp3bDpCDMfMZtPngE))
- **Transfer hook on $HOOKED itself:** none: $HOOKED is a standard SPL token ([Mint on Solscan](https://solscan.io/account/C1mBfBoDkwWfd6uTFZp62ARHLjeVp3bDpCDMfMZtPngE))
- **Mint and freeze authority:** both renounced ([Mint on Solscan](https://solscan.io/account/C1mBfBoDkwWfd6uTFZp62ARHLjeVp3bDpCDMfMZtPngE))
- **Upgrade key for Hooked's hook programs:** 8D71…wFGz, one wallet, on all three hook programs we checked (3:38 PM ET, 5 Oct) ([Hooki's hook program](https://solscan.io/account/9eQyvzp3hfghBhA4VUECLZzyZswmFGcne1rfs9QN3CnL))

## What Hooked says

- "He rewrites the token's hook whenever he wants." (@Hoookedpad, Oct 5, 2026): **unproven**. Hooked's own log shows Hooki changing $HOOKI's rules five times on its first day; we have checked its one burn on-chain but not each rule change. Its docs say a hook can only refuse a transfer, which can block selling, cap it or limit it to certain hours. ([Hooki's log for $HOOKI](https://www.hookedpad.com/api/hooki/3ykvcjrzbb5nyJRnzHVEA12sQsZfnTijwxUusN4f8R3R))
- "Nobody tells him what to do and nobody else can change them, including the creator." (Hooked's docs, Oct 5, 2026): **partly**. The creator can't, but Hooked's deploy wallet can upgrade the hook programs that carry the rules, as the same docs say. ([Hooked's docs](https://www.hookedpad.com/docs))

## What we don't know

- Whether each rule change in Hooki's log took effect on-chain as described.
- Which program controls the hook authority address on Hooked's tokens.
- Who runs Hooked.
