# Is the Hyperliquid "Season 2" vote real? No: the vote sites going around today aren't Hyperliquid's

**In short:** Checked 19 October 2026: a "$HYPE Season 2 Rewards Proposal" vote is being pushed on X by accounts that copy Hyperliquid's name, badge and bio but aren't @HyperliquidX. All five sites they link to were registered on 19 October. @HyperliquidX and the Hyper Foundation's @HyperFND have posted nothing about a vote, proposal or rewards since 1 October, and hyperfoundation.org has no vote page. The vote isn't from Hyperliquid; don't connect a wallet or sign anything.
Update, 19 October 2026, 3:30 PM ET: a fifth vote site, governance.hyperecosystem[.]network ("hyperecosystem" without the s), was registered at 1:57 PM ET. @HyperliquidEco_ linked it through a tinyurl at 2:56 PM ET with the same "Season 2 Rewards Proposal Is Now Live" wording; that post had about 26,000 views within half an hour. X's link preview for that post shows the real Hyperliquid site, but the link goes to the fake one. It's in the table below. Don't connect a wallet or sign anything on it.
Is the Hyperliquid Season 2 vote real? No. The "$HYPE Season 2 Rewards Proposal" vote spreading on X on 19 October isn't from Hyperliquid. Hyperliquid's account, [@HyperliquidX](https://x.com/HyperliquidX) (about 430,800 followers), has posted nothing about a vote, proposal, airdrop or rewards since 1 October: its only post since then, on 11 October, [thanks people for a community event](https://x.com/HyperliquidX/status/2109326236145287621). The Hyper Foundation's account, @HyperFND, has posted nothing since 1 October, and the Hyper Foundation's site, hyperfoundation.org, has no vote page. Don't connect a wallet or sign anything on the vote sites.
Every vote site in this campaign is new. Each of the five domains was registered on 19 October (times below, from the domain registries). The posts link to them through tinyurl short links rather than directly, and three of the domains were registered after the posts linking to them had gone up, so where a short link leads can change after it's posted. We list the domains below without links: season2-hyperfoundation[.]app, governance-hypereco[.]com, governaces.hyperecosystems[.]network, hyperecosystems[.]app and governance.hyperecosystem[.]network.
The accounts copy Hyperliquid's look. They use the display name "HyperIiquid Ecosystem", with a capital I in place of the l, or "Hyperliquid Ecosystem", carry verified badges, and copy @HyperliquidX's bio word for word, but none is @HyperliquidX. Three are posting it: @HyperliquidEco_, @HyperEco_ and @HyperliquidEC0. The handle @HyperliquidEco_ has changed hands: this morning it belonged to an account created in May 2024, whose article had more than 72,000 views within half an hour; that account has since renamed itself, and by the afternoon the handle belonged to a different account, created in April 2022. Two accounts with more than 50,000 followers each were reposting the vote every 7 to 8 seconds.
If you already connected a wallet and signed something on one of these sites, treat that wallet as exposed and move what's in it to a fresh wallet. We haven't opened the sites, so we don't say what they do once a wallet connects; the answer above doesn't depend on it. We'll add any new domain in this campaign as a dated line.

## What we don't know

- What the sites ask for once a wallet connects: we haven't opened them.
- Who runs the look-alike accounts, and whether the same people run all of them.
- Whether more domains appear.

## The claims, checked

- "$HYPE Season 2 Rewards Proposal Is Now Live. Cast your vote now" (@HyperliquidEco_ (look-alike account), 9:05 AM, 1:29 PM and 2:56 PM ET, 19 Oct): **false**. Neither @HyperliquidX nor @HyperFND has announced any vote since 1 October, and every linked site was registered on 19 October.
