RuneScape GoldA RuneScape joke that climbed to $27.7 million, stacked a tower of coins on its own back, and lost 83% when the tower came down.
GP is RuneScape's gold, launched as a coin on StonkFun on 8 September 2026. It is paired with GLDX, a tokenized gold, not with SOL. It charges a 3% tax on every transfer, collected by StonkFun's reward wallet (5KXD…), which pays holders.
Other coins were built on top of it. CRACKER, a Christmas cracker, is paired with GP, and the party-hat coins are paired with CRACKER. Buying a hat meant buying CRACKER first, and buying CRACKER meant buying GP, so each layer's tax flowed to the layer below. The same nesting pushed every sale back through the stack on the way down.
Nobody has publicly claimed the wallet that created it. A project account, @GPonchain, runs a site called the Grand Exchange, after the game's market. The full story is in our dispatch Party hat mania.
