$YILONGMA, $MINTER, $CATSZN: one fresh wallet funded 24 buyers in each, and got 12,307 SOL back

$YILONGMA, $MINTER and $CATSZN launched on 17 October the same way. In each, one wallet paid 24 wallets seconds before launch, they bought about 90% of the supply in the launch block, sold nearly all of it to later buyers, and sent 12,307 SOL back to the three funders.

Three coins launched on pump.fun on 17 October with the same blueprint. We traced $MINTER first, after an analyst flagged its launch. Then our launch check, which looks at every pump.fun coin under two days old that crosses a $1M market cap, flagged two more. We checked each on-chain ourselves.

The script, step by step. A wallet with no history receives SOL and, three to five blocks before the coin exists, pays 24 fresh wallets, each through a short-lived account it opens and closes in the same transaction. In the launch block, those 24 buy in five back-to-back transactions: the creator and four other wallets, then seven, then seven more, then one more wallet signing together with the creator, then four. Each transaction is signed by all of its wallets together, which takes all of their keys. Then they sell into the buyers who arrive, and within seconds of selling the wallets send the SOL back to the wallet that funded them, routed the same way.

$YILONGMA ("Yi Long Ma") launched at 12:25:58 PM ET. Wallet 4Nh6…zD91 funded 24 wallets with 285.9 SOL five blocks earlier. They bought 93.5% of the supply for 273.9 SOL in the same five-transaction pattern (the largest, signed by seven wallets, bought 57.75%); one unrelated wallet also bought a few tokens in that block. They sold slowly by this script's standards: 18% of the supply by minute 13, 70% by the hour, the last sale 93 minutes after launch, for 5,606.7 SOL, and they hold none now. 5,636.9 SOL went back to 4Nh6 in 1,129 transfers. The coin crossed $1M at 2:05 PM ET; it was worth about $117,000 at 11:58 AM ET on 18 October.

$MINTER launched at 5:24:53 PM ET. Wallet DH8F…6EZa funded 24 wallets, about 245 SOL, three blocks earlier; they took 92.5% for 237.5 SOL. 81.8% was sold by minute 13 and the last sale came 21.6 minutes after launch, for 4,921.5 SOL; 4,928.8 SOL went back to DH8F in 320 transfers. The full trace, with every transaction, is on the $MINTER page.

$CATSZN ("Cat Season") launched at 10:28:53 PM ET. Wallet By3T…okZy funded 24 wallets with 168.9 SOL four blocks earlier; they took 88.97% for 161.5 SOL in the same five-transaction pattern. 85.1% of the supply was sold by minute 13 and the last sale came at 64 minutes, for 1,733.5 SOL; they still hold 0.39%. 1,740.9 SOL went back to By3T in 216 transfers. Unlike the other two, the coin kept climbing after the sell-off: it crossed $1M at 6:00 AM ET on 18 October and was worth about $950,000 at 11:58 AM ET. Almost all of it is held by people who bought after the launch wallets sold.

Same pattern, three different funders. The three funding wallets are different addresses. We checked their full histories for a link: they share no transactions, their SOL doesn't trace back to a common source within two hops, none of the 24-wallet sets overlap, and their proceeds haven't gone to a common address so far. Matching structure, down to the same five signing groups and the same way of routing money out and back, is what you would expect from one tool or one operator, but on what the chain shows, it doesn't prove either. All three funders were still active on 18 October.

What it means if you're buying a new coin. In each case, more than 88% of the supply sat in wallets funded by one wallet before anyone else could buy, and nearly all of it was sold into later buyers within 22 to 93 minutes. The signal is on-chain at launch: many wallets buying in the very first block, in transactions they sign together, all funded by one wallet seconds earlier.

What we don't know
  • Who controls the three funding wallets, and whether one operator runs all three.
  • Where each funder got its first SOL, and where the 12,307 SOL went next.
  • How many other launches use the same script; our check only looks at coins that cross $1M.
